On Thursday, January 23rd, our Young At Heart group is hosting a lunch for all of our 50+ church participants. After that lunch, Lonice Barrett will lead us in a fun discussion and round-table session on why Georgia is so special. He should know because this lifelong Georgian spent most of his career working in the management of state parks, historic sites, and the Department of Natural Resources.
We’re going to have fun talking about everything from coastal marshlands to barrier islands to the oldest state park in America. Did you know that Georgia has a state park within 50 miles of everyone in Georgia? Do you know how many barrier islands there are in Georgia? We’ll take a look at Georgia and talk about some facts and figures that all contribute to making our state one of the best places in America to live, work and play. Hope you will join us!

This pastoral care ministry is available for DBC community members and friends. We provide no-cost advice, recommendations, and introductions to those recovering from illness or injury or facing difficult decisions related to aging and needing resources.
DBC's Visitation Ministry provides a sense of fellowship, belonging and involvement to those who aren't able to get out and about as easily as they used to. We also work to connect these church members to additional DBC ministries that can help them with other needs they may have.
