SPRING OF PEACE

REACHING THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY OF EAST DUNWOODY

Spring of Peace runs outreach programs in a primarily unchurched, Hispanic community of East Dunwoody, with a mission of bringing the good news of the gospel into their homes. The North American Missions Board estimates 200,000 Hispanic residents in apartments in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Norcross, Doraville and Chamblee, with approximately 97% having no church home.

After-school tutoring programs help children with homework as well as provide recreation and bible stories. Ministry partnerships include students from Wesleyan School during the school year, summer youth mission groups from around the US who serve and evangelize, and Camp Grace where children experience weeklong and other weekend camps.

Spring of Peace celebrates complex-wide outreach events including major activities for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. These events serve hundreds of residents and children where the gospel of Christ is shared. Missionaries Shelia and Eduardo Zamora are an integral part of the community in which they serve.

Dunwoody Baptist Church has partnered with Spring of Peace since 2008. Volunteers are always needed for after-school programs and special events.
