JMA MINISTRIES
OPERATING EDUCATIONAL AND RELIEF FACILITIES
JMA Ministries operates educational and relief facilities in Myanmar and Clarkston, Georgia.
The JMA Missionary Training School in Yangon, Myanmar focuses on cross-cultural mission work, practical evangelism, and new church planting strategies. The teaching model is based in discipleship training - to make disciples who will make other disciples. JMA seeks to support local missionaries to evangelize their own people, to preach the Gospel in places where it has not been heard and plant new churches where none have existed before. JMA continues to support missionaries who are sent with resources to strengthen their impact and reach; this includes transportation, literature, and equipment.
The Learning Center in Yangonr is an expanding school for the education of young people in the community. Training in pre-school education, sewing, computers, and English provides students with stronger employment opportunities. The Elim Family Orphanage supports over 30 children in Yangon station with daily needs, including food, clothes, health care, as well as supplies and fees for school.
JMA Ministries in Clarkston, GA serves the refugee community through a Burmese House Church Network. Evangelism opportunities are fostered through tangible relief efforts including job search assistance, benefits assistance, distribution of furniture, clothing, and food, English education, translation and interpretation, and after-school tutoring and assistance programs.
Dunwoody Baptist Church has partnered with JMA Ministries since 2016. Volunteers are always needed for JMA’s work in Clarkston.
